A small Intro :
I am not at all good at writing..So please excuse ..Now I know why my friend had his blog's name as scrambled thoughts...When I started writing a blog,,it is figuring in the same way..Trying to improve in organizing myself and my thoughts for a better presentation..
I was born and brought up in Kerala and I am so proud of that with its contribution towards the values and morals imbibed in. The traditional Kerala in everybody's mind is green, full of paddy fields, forests, people who are always forward looking..I am so fond of this place. A very common fact is that a place is like that due to mostly of the people habituated there. My senior officer once complained that people of kerala are dreamy and live in a world of fantasy which I put forward to my friend who convinced me with excellent remarks on how those dreams have positive impact in our life.I agreed truly..

Whenever somebody ask me about where I belong,I am so proud and happy to say that I am from the God's Own Country- Somebody said so - that too a foreigner..Normally I would call Non Indian/Non Keralite. If he is here now,he would have said that he didn't mean so..That is the way our home is getting transformed..I feel like it is a virus attack trying to decay not just the place but also the minds of people.I wish if this place could be like how it was earlier,,Nostalgia working!!!! Kerala was chosen among the 50 must see destinations of a life time in the whole world.Whenever I make out a plan for tour to places outside Kerala, I used to ask myself - " Oh man I haven't seen the half of Kerala yet,,what am I doing ?? "
This Picture shows the river Bharathapuzha, almost 2 Kms walk from my home.I always felt the words like serene beauty is in the dictionary with a special intention to express this kind of things in our nature........
Kerala reveals its multifaceted beauty in different seasons, rainy being my favourite, a real malayali always love the rains. Imagine a road with green borders and a slight rain so that you have to take an umbrella,,the walk would give you enough reasons to write a poem for sure. The rains are sometime light , gentle, harsh,,varying from time to time..Nowadays the pattern of rain seem to be a bit out of order.Earlier we used to have proper predictions,,which we did precisely for the harvest. The rains have another role in our nights too..We don't need fans or any other cooling conditioners when its raining..Earlier most of the houses in kerala were of hay or tile rooftops with wooden frames so the roof cool down easily in contrary to the present concrete rooftops. It is a soothing experience not just for the body,,but for our minds too..
'Mazha' as we call rain in malayalam is a nostalgic part of a malayali about his home.I felt beauty of nature can't be expressed better with words or videos or anything,,rather it should be experienced..I still remember my school days when I would be fully drenched of rain and would come home the same way and enjoy the rain, had it been today I would have been sneezing, coughing all day..Everything is changing,,getting transformed, the nature is losing its edge and there is an imbalance..the raindrops even seems like attacking just like pricking when it touch us. Is it showing the fury?? when we see these changes,,we feel how lucky we were and what a wonderful place it was/is..The forest areas which are properly demarcated for that natural balance should be as it is...Hope it won't get disturbed..
When I talk about Kerala, nature and environment, I have to defenitely mention Smt Sugathakumari, the malayali poetess, so much she had done about..With her poems, she made us aware of how beautiful this place is.Now with her struggles and different initiation programmes, she is propogating the importance and awareness of protecting our nature and also fighting against illegal sand mining, against hurried efforts of building airports in place of vast agricultural lands..I am so sure it is going to be a huge food import situation in the near future and the much worried about situations we read in different journals can be a reality if the ones responsible for governance don't keep a check on the really worrisome matters with a strong foresight.
